DAY 100!

Well this is kind of exciting - so I hit day 100 today. For point of reference, this is where I had stopped last year.

And a bit of a challenging day to do it as I completely wrenched my neck over the weekend. My wife was telling me I absolutely looked like an old man yesterday from the way I was carrying myself. I was truly hurting. So, I'm happy that by about 5:30 today I felt rested enough to do a pretty decent 5 mile tempo on the treadmill at a pace I was happy about.

Also, a bit bummed to share that the Pittsburgh Marathon was in fact sold out. But since I'd been training towards May 6th as a Marathon day, I fortunately found another one to do. And of all irony, I ended up signing up for the New Jersey Marathon. This is ironic as the surgery which stopped me from going beyond 100 last year also kept me from completing this Marathon which I had signed up for last year. So it feels like there's some sort of weird and good symmetry to it all.

I don't really have a Seinfeld connector for any of this other than I was happy to see my mom and stepfather for his birthday this weekend. We took them out to dinner and they were much more gracious than Jerry's dad was that time he lost his wallet. If you recall, he kept insisting that he should pay for dinner when in fact, he had no money on him. As he had lost his wallet. Where did he "lose" it. In fact, it was a double episode that involved the "loss" of something that they give to Jerry. What was it and how does he try to recover it?

  1. Congratulations on day 100!!! I only made it to Day 57 on my current streak and no chance to match you now - see my reason on my CA log.
