Finally, a good long run and what a beautiful day to do it. As always, went out a bit too fast (for me anyway) but was able to reign it in and still finish at a pace that made sense. I covered the Yonkers Half Marathon Route which was almost fresh since I haven't done it in awhile. In the lemons to lemonade category, my ipod shuffle imploded - naturally, it was about two years old- about 4 miles in so it was actually nice to remember that I don't need music - kind of had my own good rhythm. In terms of the ipod, I'm sort of happy about it as it was one of those from 2009 (maybe 2010?) can't remember but it looks more like a flash drive than an ipod - no controls and everything had to be done from the headphones - definitely one of the few Apple duds in a long time. And I'm sure it was a dud because they switched back to the old style.
I was in a speech contest today (I'm in Toastmasters - the public speaking club) and was thinking of Kramer's continual pointer that "poise counts". Remember the Pageant?? Which state was Jerry's date representing? And what was her talent?
That's it for today - I'm beat!
