Day 94 - I think I've got Vertigo (and so does the Artist)

pretty quiet day for my own personal running but a fun one for teens run yonkers - we had a great group run; all our teens were invited to either run the loop around the lake at tibbetts brook park or do a smaller loop around the "top ring" at the park. it was a great way to get a handle on the variety of paces so we can start to set up some good and accurate pacing groups. as for my own personal running, just a very light four miles on the tmill which I was glad to get in as it became a pretty hectic day.

I forgot to mention that I saw the Oscar winning "Artist" over the weekend. I was really pleasantly surprised - in all candor, I'm always really skeptical of movies that win everything. I am a "sleeper' in movies and especially with the silent format, I was pretty sure my wife would be elbowing me 5 minutes in.. Not to be - was awake throughout..Two really notable things about our experience was 1) we saw the movie in this very old-time, nonprofit movie theater - just sort of a nice change from the usual multi-tripli plex that we're used to seeing movies in and 2) I was totally surprised at the infusion of chunks of the score from my favorite all time movie Vertigo into the movie. I'm watching, enjoying and all the sudden I'm like "isn't this music from Vertigo? Turns out that I wasn't the only one - in this day and age, of course I google The Artist, Vertigo and see there's this huge controversy about it including Kim Novak of Vertigo fame saying that her movie was raped. Other's had all kinds of stuff. Me - I was just kind of curious

Anyway, speaking of movies, movies are prominent in tons of episodes. Here's questions from just a few. In the episode "The Dog", which movie do they keep missing because Jerry has to stay with the dog? And what's the dog's name? In another episode, Jerry is supposed to meet the gang at the movies but his evening keeps getting messed up due to trying to schewdule his shows- what movie does he finally end up at and who does he go with? Finally, in the episode that involves bootlegging, which movie that he shoots ends up featuring Elaine dancing badly? So...let's go to the movies...
