First off, thanks as I've noticed a few more people responding to the Seinfeld stuff. I'm not sure if that means you're actually reading the blog - I hope you are - but either way, happy to have you. And as I've said before, love to have you as registered follower. We're all such creatures of numbers and so exciting to see them get higher. Anyway...
I've definitely about writing this as this week has been one of my dumpiest weeks running from being under the weather with some lingering something or other. But I've still been doing my thing on the tmill just to avoid big temperature changes. Lame but at least it's something and managed to still do a bit over 30 miles this week. Hope to get back to a near 50 next.
For those of you that actually are runners and read this, I want to give a recommendation of buying your gear from Road Runner Sports. If you know what you wear and buy it consistently, I really find them to be fantastic with excellent customer service. I am a huge fan of Newton shoes- the only brand I've ever stuck with. I bought a pair of their newest MV2s (which are amazing by the way) but they developed a tear on the inseam (not the amazing part) which I learned was happening to other wearers. Even though I had purchased the shoes about five months ago and they had about 150 on them, they gave me a full exchange which is well past their 60 day return policy. Join the VIP thing - for $10, great savings and excellent service.
On a lighter note, my wife and I went to Ikea and then the Jersey Gardens Mall yesterday. I'm kind of amazed that Seinfeld never got around to including something about Ikea (i.e. what's the deal with Ikea - don't we have enough stuff in our lives we can't pronounce? And I'm sure shopping there and putting that stuff together has been the end of more than a few marriages). And on the subject of malls, there are several episodes that include trips to the mall (usually the ones in Long Island). Can you identify them? What are some of the key purchases made? And what pet meets with a sad ending? Finally, what quasi-religious organization is included in one of these? Have fun
