FREE SOMETHING! '76

the title is a combination experiment and nod to the fact that I hit day 76 which with some historical is the day our country moved in the direction of freedom. In reality, it's not the day we got our freedom rather we just declared it. The experiment by the way is just seeing if more people read this - or at least view this page with the heading FREE on it. Kind of like the old FREE BEER thing we used to do when we were trying to get people to come to the non-paying gigs I use to play in the early '90s when I had more hair. Anyway, I'll let you know tomorrow. I know I've been a bit lax on the postings...no excuse really. Just long, week which kept me from my consistency.

Running wise, the week has been really predictable but good. I've been following a really steady recipe of suggested training from Runner's World - all aimed towards preparation for a moderate comeback from the poor showing in Miami. I was reading about this Pittsburgh Marathon and it sounds like a good challenge - I know Pittsburgh and there are some hills but I'm starting to believe that all these supposedly "fast and flat" marathons I run don't work so well for me. Might as well try something with some clear challenges. I'm definitely putting in time on hill training....the one thing every review made clear is that the climb up to the University Area - probably a 2 mile thing - is tough. So, gotta be ready for that.

And finally, on the subject of freedom, history and 1776, I google Seinfeld and Freedom and you know what came up?? The "Freedom"Dance Kramer does when he's released from jail. So let's take it from here. Why was Kramer put in jail? Where was the jail? What series of incidents led to Kramer being outside of New York (yes, that's a hint). Good luck. BONUS: There are several interesting cameos in the double episode that the questions connected to. Can you name them? And for a super bonus, what other sitcoms were those stars from? Wow - someone's really going to take home some great prizes!
