So I've been a little lax on the blogging. Well really not that bad - just Super Bowl Sunday where it just got late and blah, blah, blah...
Anyway, just to jump too it, streak is still alive and I'm guessing into the 60+ day range; I'll check it out one of these days soon. Sunday, just did the treadmill thing which was kind of helpful to sort of set the re-set button on a day of work and what turned out to be tons of snacking. By 4:00 I must have consumed an entire days worth of calories in potato chips and just decided I needed to start my day over and get out of this eating fest. So I did with 3 miles on the treadmill at an extra quick pace - and man did it feel good to get myself out of potato chip land.
Today was kind of fun too. I definitely have to get the dust off the bike as I am definitely seeing some good effect from this cross training stuff. I went to the gym and had planned to use the hour to hit the bike, some weights and a swim. I found myself really enjoying the hill program on the stationary bike and a high level and did 23 miles in an hour. Now I just have to see if I can actually do that on the road. Biking in Yonkers is really a challenge; tons of hills, city traffic, reckless drives - you name it, we've got it. So, it's definitely going to take me loading the bike into the car and heading north to the north trail. But I'm getting more motivated every day and I'm close to doing it. For the afternoon, I was out with our Yonkers High Students. We did a nice jog to Tibbetts and had them do a tempo loop of about 1000 meters and timed them. Overall, kind of a light day in the running area as we let them more or less walk back. I did another three on the tmill when I got back...
So that's the scoop up through today. And one more Seinfeld Football (NOt necessarily Super Bowl stuff) trivia; Elaine has a boyfriend with a somewhat "notorious" name. What's the boyfriend's name and what motivates him to eventually change it?
